Stollen sauna (sauna grotto)
Traditional sauna designed like a grotto. The Stollen sauna (sauna grotto) lets you dive into the world of the earth’s treasures: the sauna’s design is reminiscent of an underground world where your well-being is the treasure. Our specialties include exclusive scented oils.
Steam bath
A traditional steam bath has 100% humidity (saturated air) and visible mist (steam). You’re the least likely to sweat in a hot and humid climate of a steam bath, of all places, precisely where you expect to sweat the most. The reason why is simple. What drips off your body in the steam room is mostly water: Condensation from the surrounding steam, which condenses on your relatively cool body surface. You can therefore assume that it’s not sweat. Instead, it is pure water vapor that condenses on the surface of your skin, which releases heat in the process.
Tecaldarium
The classic Roman bath, the tecaldarium, a sweat bath for stabilizing the circulation, was rediscovered. Unlike a sauna, you enter a tecaldarium dressed and stay there for 40 to 60 minutes. It’s a radiant heat room inspired by the ancient thermal baths of the Roman emperors. This highly developed bathing culture was a model for us when it came to the architecture and furnishings of the entire spa area. A harmony between body and environment is achieved through the heat radiation of the heated walls, the floor, as well as the seating and lying surfaces. Circulation is stimulated and the immune system is strengthened. The healing and relaxing effect of the tecaldarium is also enhanced by special lighting technology and the use of essential scented oils. At varying temperatures of 37 - 60 °C the body is relaxed, because optimal circulation is achieved. The immune system is positively stimulated, as are the body’s functions.
